5 Baltimore Port Hotels

One of the best deals in cruising, can save you some serious cash. Let me explain…

The market for hotels is competitive, especially in a place like downtown Baltimore where there are literally dozens of places to stay. That means hotels will often offer perks in order to attract you as a guest. One of those perks is “park and cruise” packages.

Parking can be an unwelcome extra charge on your cruise. Parking at the Port of Baltimore will run passenger vehicles (SUVs)/$15 per night and RVs/$30-$40 per night. That means for a week of parking, you can expect to pay at least $105.

But if you are staying in the area, then you can find a hotel that offers a “park and cruise” package. These packages include parking in your hotel fare, typically for an amount that’s a little more than the regular room rate, but less than parking at the cruise port. In addition, they will often offer breakfast (but not always) and include transport to and from from your ship.

To be sure, if you don’t plan on staying at a hotel the night before, then doing it just for the parking isn’t worth the added expense. But if you are going to stay somewhere, find a place with cruise parking to save a few extra bucks.

We recently hunted down several hotels near the port that offer parking packages. Click on each hotel name to read reviews about it on TripAdvisor.com. For parking packages, you may have to book through the hotel.

Just because you don’t see a hotel here doesn’t mean it has no cruise parking package. If you find a particular hotel you are interested in staying at, ask what sort of offers they have for parking.

I do hope you’ve found this list helpful. Stay tuned. There’s more to come.
